half tone background

I want to take a photo of Mt. Hood, make it look like a pen sketch, then halftone for a light background. Then I will put another photo that is made to look like a pen sketch (but not halftoned) and place it on the Mt. Hood sketch. How do I do that? I just got smart photo editor studio edition. I have never worked with any photo editing software.

Welcome to the world of photo editing!
There's a few pages which might help you:
Here's a getting started video just to introduce you.
Once you've tried adding an effect, you can learn how to find more effects.
Finally to combine two photos together, you'll need to learn about compositing.
