poncho, there are numerous video tutorials showing how to use Smart Photo Editor in the Getting Started forum.
When you load Smart Photo Editor, go to FILE - OPEN to open a raw file (or any other supported file type) from your computer. You can then save the file as a JPG from the FILE menu.
