Viewing the most recently posted effects.

If I am correct, popularity (high ratings) move an effect up the appearance list. The most highly rated effects appear first. Is there some way to find the most recently posted effects, with the hopes of finding a new but not yet widely discovered gem, without paging through hundreds of thumbnails?
I found (on the Mac) the box to check so I can see and rate effects. Under "Advanced Gallery" there are a number of not so obvious other options: What are where does "Show Latest" appear?
Same question for "Show Brushes"? Should I assume the "Reset Button" return the effect to the original (as created) defaults?

Hi Larry,
Show Latest: adds an extra option under 'refine your search' in the gallery that shows the most recently posted effects.
Show Brushes: Adds brushes into the gallery for quickly brushing away parts of the effect before confirming.
Reset Button: is a button in each of the effect controls, that will reset all the sliders of that effect back to their original setting.
Show ratings: Makes the rating stars appear in the gallery. By rating effects, you will influence which effects appear near the top of the gallery. It also lets the system learn about your personal taste.
