Very small 9cm long Shield Insect

Used quite a bit of masking over several stages to get this finished image. Actually it was much less than you'd think. Mostly image treatment rather than effects. Plenty of S curve work and a small crop. Sharpening was high pass filter at just under two.
Canon 500D with a 100mm f2.8 @ f22 on this one. +1 exposure, 1/4 shutter ISO 400, aperture priority with custom WB.
