I have disciplined myself to do most of my creative endeavors using only SPE.

It has been a great adventure. This software is remarkable. I am sure this program is capable of doing things that the designers didn't anticipate.

For those in the Portland area, I have a showing at the Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River, Oregon. My work will be on display from March 6th until March 31st. It features works done using only SPE. Drop by if you are in the area.

Agree agree Wess! :D

It's something that cross my mind a lot, that Smart Photo Editor is capable of doing things more than designers had in mind, like it's evolving on the fly by new ways of creating effects, using effects or features, it's indeed a brilliant piece of software and design!

Your image is awesome, looks very strong and powerfull, like the software ;) Would do great on a wall!

I'm living way off the Portland area, otherwise I definitely dropped by to see your work, nevertheless, hope it will be a succes for you!

Hope your doing well

Arwin

Stunning result Wess!

Totally agree with your comment 'This software is remarkable. I am sure this program is capable of doing things that the designers didn't anticipate.' In fact tonight I uploaded two tutorial videos that further extend the possibilities of this FANTASTIC program. You can find both videos in my blog 'Andrew Buchanan's Arty Facts by following this link: http://www.smartphotoeditor.com/AndrewBuchanan/?p=352 or directly in Vimeo through the links shown below:

Back to your great image - it is very powerful & compelling to view - slightly intimidating too. Like the contrast between the to heads - the left hand one has an AMAZING metallic feel that I love.

Hope all goes well at the Columbia Center for the Arts where your work will be on display from March 6th until March 31st - a few thousand miles stop me from attending, but I wish you all the best and I hope you are encouraged by the show.

I love the adventure of SPE - it is an ever expanding adventure.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Great stuff Andrew. I have downloaded the kit. Off on holiday now so hopefully in 3 week's time I'll have plenty of new material to try out some of the techniques in the two videos.

On a different subject, who did the music?

Hi Richard,

The company behind the music (which was just one man, I think who bought in other musicians) traded under the internet name of NVMdifgital.com is no longer in existence as the man behind it retired. You can no longer get the music. I purchased royalty free rights to the music many, many years ago and may use it freely for ever in productions such as my videos. The music has restrictions on use but they are very generous terms. The music is not transferable - so, any use has to be by me personally. Trying, off-hand, hand to remember the guy's name - I'll add it later by editing this post. I bought 4 CD's full of music and would have bought more but for the fact the company stopped trading.

Have a great holiday - take lots of photographs to tide you over the winter, but most of all ENJOY your holiday - hope you find the resources & videos useful!

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hi Andrew, I thought it may have been you! Sort of stuff I've been known to fiddle around with. When not photographing I'm usually playing guitar.
