Relaxing in San Remo, Italian Riviera

Postby Phelon » Sat Sep 14, 2013 4:29 am

Very simple to accomplish. Use Area Treatment to mask around the woman (subject), (everything will be red except the subect-woman), select Auto under treatment panel, and choose Background; then go to Gallery icon and hover over icon to bring up selection window and mouse-click on Background in lower-right of window, which opens up several pages of Background Effects--then choose Oil Pastel by SuperDave for a background. That's it! Do whatever you need to do to improve the woman (I suggest using Area Treatment again and mask areas that need improvements). Do this all, of course, for whatever subject you have. For some reason, an old car sitting in a grungy scene sounds good for the next project like this.

Nicely done, beautiful image. Good info regarding the process. It would appear that you used a canvas effect?

Hi WC Lawson,

Thank you for your nice comments. Yes, the background effect is Oil Pastel by SuperDave and does contain a canvas effect, too.

PS There is also a very nice Oil Pastel effect by Helen.

Hi my friend,

First of all - hope you are well and enjoying life. I've just been diagnosed with three more (quite serious) medical conditions which is further limiting my ability to respond as I would like within the SPE Forum.

Always good to see your work!

Love the first image - beautifully processes in SPE - lovely muted tones and subtle colours. Superb composition - pure eye candyy

Nice to see one of my effects turn up in the second FUN image which has its own appeal & makes you smile!

Keep up the good work.

Best wishes,

Andrew
