Portrait of a Seagull

Postby Phelon » Mon Nov 25, 2013 4:17 pm

Taken on Catalina Island, off the Southern California Coast. In SPE, I straightened, cropped, applied oil effects, painted out effect, added Simple Border and Name. That's it, and I'm gone.

Nice transition from the 'normal' seagull to the oil processed background, didn't notice till I did read you used oil and paint effects, well done! :)

Thanks, Arvin; I appreciate you leaving a comment. When I finish a picture, I like to think it looks good enough to hang on a wall someplace. This one may not tap everybody's heartstrings, but I think the commonality of subject and blending of colors makes it a happy picture to look at.

Hi Arch,

Thank you for a most eloquent comment !! We haven't communicated with each other, but I profess that you are quite an artist. I see that you joined this forum a little before me. Have a great week, and hope to talk later.
