Hi Phelon,

Wow, thank you, that's the nicest compliment I have ever received! There are several people on this forum - you included - whom I admire immensely for the help they give to others.

Your detective skills are spot on - I am American (you can tell by my spelling) but I've lived in Germany for the past 40 years. With three adult children and three grandchildren living in Europe, I'm here to stay. :)

Hi artyjules,

Ha ha, I know the feeling. It's easy to play around for hours and hours and time goes by so quickly. There are so many different directions you can take an image in, and almost any photo can be turned into something astounding.

I love your cactus image with the reflection effect applied. I have found that that particular effect looks great on many images, but applied to the cactus, it adds an element of surprise to the composition that really holds my attention.

Someone is at the door, so I have to go now. The area selection functionality is indeed a bit tricky and I am still experimenting with it to find the most effective way to use it.

@Fotoart: I love your image of the beach. It looks like the last man on earth observing the end of the world!

Thanks - I just wanted to take some photos of the ocean and the unusual rock formation when this guy stepped in front of me observing the area. I took the advantage and took quiet a few shots of him in various angles as he stood there for maybe 10 -15 minutes - It would be hard to find a model doing that for you - :p

Below something in addition to the 'Cactus Mirror Effect' posted in this thread.
