West Lothian Countryside

Postby andrewb2012 » Fri Dec 21, 2012 4:32 pm

This image was taken in February 2005 on the road to the Pentlands (a range of hills near Edinburgh).

Processed in Smart Photo Editor where one of my own textural effects was applied - it is called 'Essential textures 001'

Vignette added in Photoscape.

Hope you enjoy!

Much more of my work (including many Smart Photo Editor processed images) can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ab_images_ ... 204292398/

Hi Andrew,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family . You have some outstanding artwork on Flickr, as seen on your URL above. I find using some of your SPE Effects very nice and valuable for my own artwork. You contributed so many effects. Have a Joyous New Year and look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Phelon,

Thank you for your kind words they are greatly appreciated.

I know that you have been creating lovely ARTWORKS and also helping others get the best from Smart Photo Editor - that is what a COMMUNITY is all about. Over the last few months I have not had the time to comment on many of the images shown within the SPE Forum, but I have viewed most of them regularly and I know of your input. Hopefully, from the start of 2013 I will be more able to offer my appreciation of others' artworks.

I love to see how others use my SPE Effects and those of other effect creators. Some of my effects are challenging to use and to see them used creatively is quite a thrill. Lately, I've uploaded a few more generic and more applicable effects and last night I uploaded two new series - the first series is called 'Explore the possibilities' and there are 50 effects in it - some are closely related but there is quite a variety - I tested them out on a range of images and they look as if they can meet many creative needs. The second series is called 'Moody & Painterly' and currently there are 12 effects in it (but I may add more). Because of the holidays there may be a delay in them appearing in the Effects Gallery. Anyway, look out for these new ones - I would love to see what you might do with them - all very exciting really.

After commenting here, I intend to create a third series as yet unnamed so it is likely that I shall upload these by tomorrow - so that will be three new series to try out.

When these contributions are within the Gallery there should be about 1,000 effects by me - I considered stopping at this number, but I love making effects and seeing them used to good effect and I have more ideas that keep coming into my head. I have in the past created quite complex effects and in the new year I intend creating more unique effects of this type.

Thank you for your kind greetings - let me in return wish you and yours a Very Happy Christmas & a Creative, Fulfilling, Joyful & Healthy New Year!

Keep up the good work!

Kind regards,

Andrew
