Lake view in the Fall

Postby dhenning » Tue Jan 22, 2013 7:46 pm

I've been busy and haven't had time to post in a little while. Here's my latest picture. I didn't like the clouds/sky, so I replaced it. The tricky part was clearing up the water of the reflection, then adding in a new reflection. CC welcome.

Effects used:

Straighten
Crop
Sky - evening orange
Water reflection
And some misc image treatments

Here's the original:

Hi dhenning,

You have done a nice job. I do like the original tree branches, but I know it is sometimes a little hard to selectively paint the leaves and branches--but, it can e done. The mirror reflection definitely was worth the effort.

Thanks Phelon, appreciate the feedback. Regarding the tree branches, that was a tough decision since I do like it too. However, I needed it to be 8x10 so I'd have to crop one end or the other and it was going to be a lot more work to replace the sky with those branches!
