Just a Church
Hello everyone. First up I'd like to wish everyone a very happy, peaceful and healthy new year. The injections into my eyes are helping so once again I can process some images. Fingers crossed it lasts
I was waiting for my Wife while she was having her hair done and I was walking the village (Ruskington Lincolnshire) approx 20 miles South of the city. A busy village with far too many vehicles. . All Saints has been in existence since 1086. The present building contains examples of work covering five centuries. It is small but I felt an image was on the cards.
Processed initially in PSE13 and finished in SPE . Original & processed included. Click the image to see full sized.

Re: Just a Church
Very beautiful, Mozzy! I love the detail enhancement and HDR-look of the edited image! Well done!
Re: Just a Church
Gave it that look you see when there is a huge black cloud but the sun is shining on something. One of my favorite nature lighting scenarios.

Well done! I like everything about this image.
The drama of the sky is a nice touch.

Thank you all. Being able to see again due to the eyeball injections is such a bonus. I REALLY am seeing life as if it is my last day, and thoroughlly enjoying it. The Lumix FZ-1000 is actually much much better that I thought it would be ... even though it is well over-priced in my humble.

Lovely work, Mozzy! HDR style treatment always brings out the texture in stone and wood. Love the image!

Re: Just a Church
Hi Mozzy,
Firstly, and most importantly, glad to hear about your improvement to your eyes - I wish you further improvement as the year develops. Happy New Year my friend!
Your original image might well be considered 'Just a Church', but no longer after your very tasteful processing which turns an ordinary image into an image that is worth looking at more than once. I said tasteful, because nothing has been overdone - the sky does not compete with the beautiful textures in the stonework of the church - all-in-all, a fine result. Well done!
Kindest regards,
Andrew
