Re: Sunset and Power
Excellent. I recognise the sunset well! Did you use the normal 'hold down shift' approach to pick out the cables? I can never get the sharpness you have achieved when I try it. Any tips? What was the original background like. I guess pure white would help enormously.

Hi William,
Classic 'sky replacement' within SPE - SUPERB masking and a beautifully defined result. A perfect example of what can be achieved using SPE.
Love silhouettes of this nature and your composition and perspective make for a STUNNING result.
Keep up the good work - really enjoyed viewing these beauties.
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Sunset and Power
Since I could not recall what I had done while shooting the Tower I went back and re shot it today.......I really did nothing to pick out the cables....in the latest photo they are exactly the same.....it was a grey day the tower was strong against the sky I just loaded into SPE picked out the sky.....and that was it.........Thank you all for your comments......have a great week......
Re: Sunset and Power
True, as long the subject (Tower and Cables in this case) are dark enough a simple change of the Merg node to Multiply will do the trick, I guess the merge node of this effect is already set to Multiply.
Stunning shot and edit btw!
