how do i fix the feather without starting over?

how do I fix the feather without starting over? I accidently cut it in two.

When you added the effect that replaced the background a new tab would have been created at the top of the program. Part of that tab will show a black and white shape indicating the selected area that is being replaced with stars. Click on that to edit the selection. You can now use the brushes to cut away more or add back in areas to be replaced with stars.
