New Watercolor Type Effects - Active Now - View

Hi all,

I've just uploaded five new watercolor type effects called:

Watercolor & ink effect 100
Watercolor & ink effect 101
Watercolor & ink effect 102
Watercolor & ink effect 103
Watercolor & ink effect 104

THEY ARE NOW ACTIVE! Challenge: Please feel free to IMPROVE these effects.

Examples: Name of effect shown in the image title.

These are now ACTIVE!

Note: I simply applied each single effect to the original image at a click - I made no adjustments or altered anything. However, there is plenty of scope to alter each effect using the many available sliders, and you also have the option of doing manual edits to each effect. These seem to work well with images such as the original, not so good, maybe on closeups, flower-heads etc.

If I get some response to these effects in the future, I might create some more - these are just little trials, but without some feedback I'll probably not do any more for general release.

Anyway hope these prove useful.

I did not add any borders, but I think that borders often set off art works - make them stand out! SPE has plenty of borders to choose from.

Combine these effects with existing effects. Create new effects using these as a basis.

For 'one click' approaches these seem to work quite well, but for best results I still prefer to create images using multiple techniques including the use of the Composite Feature to reach my goals.

These effects are what they are - nothing more - but the can be improved - so there's the challenge to budding effect creators.

Would love to see any results you have using these effects.

My real hope is that users develop these effects and make them better, but I am quite pleased with these five effects - but, as always, they work better with some images than with others.

This is a wall I saw on my recent vacation. I think it was in Bratislava, which is a beautiful city and not at all run down like this particular wall.

Eve - you have really chuffed me - you have no idea how much this means to me, to see such a beautiful result from one of my most recent effects in combination with other effects.

Your Art-Work is exactly the kind of thing that I thought was achievable using some of the new watercolor effects. If you don't mind me saying - your submission is BRILLIANT and certainly an image to be proud of. Love every bit of it - simply Beautiful. Thanks for sharing, would still love to see other results, but would hope too that others would follow your example and submit their images.
