Am I doing something wrong? I can't access any of the images (double click, single click, open with... etc etc)

Re: AI GENERATED IMAGES - THEN SPE EFFECTS APPLIED
Hi Richard, I've no idea why you cannot see the images - I had to write to Admin a few weeks ago when I could not see any images at all, either my own or other peoples. It took about a week to sort out as there had been some servicing update that had issues, the person responsible was on holiday and once they were back the issue was resolved.
Nice to hear from you - I hope you are doing well.
Kind regards,
Andrew.
PS. I would advise that you contact SPE Admin.

Hi Andrew, I can see any other image on the forum but not these. So, a mystery.

Hi,
I can't see them either, so I've contacted the person who does sys admin for our forums to see what's going on. I'll keep you posted.
Kind regards,
Tony

Hi all,
Apologies for the mistake, it was a residual problem from upgrading the forums. It should be all fixed now. Do let me know if you see any other problems.
Kind regards,
Tony

Re: AI GENERATED IMAGES - THEN SPE EFFECTS APPLIED
So, having seen the results now I have a number of questions....
1 - What AI facility did you use? ChatGPT?
2 - I presume, from what you said, you start with a textual input. The more detail the more in line with your requirements the resultant image will be?
3 - It outputs a jpg that you can then download?
4 - You've then used SPE to enhance the image?
Is all the above correct?
It is quite depressing really. I play guitar and have written a few songs. I've asked ChatGPT to write me a song about, for example, our twin grandkids. Utterly amazing. In one fell swoop you wonder what future a songwriter has. And it looks the same for painters and photographers from what I've seen here.

Re: AI GENERATED IMAGES - THEN SPE EFFECTS APPLIED
Hi Richard, you have interpreted what I said perfectly - your list is accurate. The AI program that I used is FOTOR.
I understand why you might find the whole thing depressing but is it really any different to use SPE to turn your photograph into, let's say, a watercolour painting.
Now some people might wish to pass on their AI creations as wholly being done by themselves - I did not do this - I declared that I had used a Text-to-Image AI process to create the originals from which I further processed them using SPE effects (one of which I created myself).
One thing that you need to consider is how much imagination has to go into creating the textual input in the first place, then I think you might agree that using AI could be a legitimate creative process producing output that has been authored by the text writer. If you think back to the classical artists from way back in time, they often created works of Art using apprentices and other artisans to paint backgrounds, bodies and clothes, etc, and the Master Artist just painted the faces or hands. When photography came out people thought the same as those who are concerned with AI in Art. You can use a tablet and digital pen to create amazing results and, in the process, simulate the style of famous artists such as Van Gogh. The whole thing makes you think.
I do not try to monetize anything I ever create - I'm just having FUN. I'm not trying to defend AI; everyone has to come to their own opinion. But I thought I would through up a few ideas to help put the use of AI into perspective.
Anyway, glad you can see the images now. Always great to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Andrew
