TONE
The tone filter gives you slider control over curves that adjust the tones in your image. There are many different sliders and most are self explanatory, so we suggest you simply play with them. A few are worth a mention though:
The Tone filter can be used in combination with the Merge and Blur filters to produce a wide range of interesting effects.
- Exposure can be further controled by the 'Highlight Clipping' and 'Highlight Clipping Detail' sliders to manage how it deals with over-exposed areas.
- Variation is an improved method for increasing contrast. It works especially well when increasing the contrast of a selection since it maintains the selection's overall color.
- Color Space Gamma is the gamma that your image is shot in. Typically this should be set to 2.2 for most photometrically accurate results. It affects how all the other sliders behave.
