Loss of metadata from images after processing with SPE

All my images processed in SPE result in the following metadata being deleted - the Author , date taken - possibly other info as well.
Is there a way to remedy this problem as I cannot enter my photos in Salons or competitions without the meta data above.

If this information is in the makernote section of the EXIF data then we deliberately don't preserve it because it often results in files that other software cannot read. We do preserve other metadata such as IPTC data that can contain Author, copyright etc.

Hi Gary
I have upgraded the SPE to the latest version 1.22 and the problem seems to have disappeared as the
author and date taken are now retained.
