Composite sample download and question?

Postby Penningtons7 » Fri Aug 24, 2012 12:16 am

Okay here is a sample of composite being used to introduce to lace ribbons as overlays the objects are screened to make them transparent in black areas.

Why cant I after manual edit publish this as an effect?

Just so there is no confusion the ribbon overlays are the effect I want. Colorful backimage is just for sample purposes. The ribbons are movable and can be stretched or shrunk as desired as well as rotated to put on angles.

BTW in working with the above item I realized a need for some tweaks in this tool

1. Precision tools for placement like; center, and align with top bottom or a side or in relation to other layer
2. Precision resize (units) or angle tools (degrees) in my example if I shrink the width of top object it would be nice to match on the other overlay as well.
3 and perhaps a duplicate layer option

Thanks for putting up with me still like the software. :)

I just tried a test publish of the effect you posted and it worked fine in the next version (1.13), so I think there must have been a bug that was fixed. The next version will be out soon.

Regarding your other questions, all good points. You might not know already but holding down the shift key snaps the rotation to 15 degree increments.
