Tagging effects and batch output
I wonder how to tag images while browsing - without having to save them first.
I just want to browse quickly through the effects, tag those I like and then save all tagged images/effects in one go to get all the files I liked.
How to do that?

Hi Mino,
There's not a completely automatic way of doing what you want, although it's something we can add as a feature if there was demand for it. It would probably be of the form: allowing you to save the results of your entire shortlist in one go. Is that something other people would be interested in?
The quickest way of doing this at the moment is to make a shortlist of everything you want, then apply one of them and save it. Then reload the original image, and you can quickly apply the second effect from your shortlist because all the effects in your shortlist will have appeared in the list that appears when you hover over the star button on the right (currently called 'Favorite Effects', but is being renamed 'Favorite Recent Shortlist' to emphasize it's where your shortlists go).

Re: Tagging effects and batch output
Thank you, Tony, for your quick reply.
What I do is even faster: I browse through the effects, those I like are selected and confirmed and immediately saved (Save as "FileName_EffectName.jpg"). I then delete the effect, remember the page, hurry through the page(es) again and continue to the next. And so on.
It appears however, that I have a lot of favourite effects. Therefore it would be nice to tell SPE: "Do all my favourite effects!" and some seconds later to find all the files - correctly renamed - in a selected folder for reviewing them. This would speed up the process a lot.
My workflow continues to simply compare these JPGs side by side and to select the best effects in a simple browser like Faststone. I do this same workflow fully automated with Photoshop in combination with NIK or Perf. Effects. But I have seen the power of SPE which gives us literally infinite effects. My proposal would not even force you to write a plugin for PS or LR.

Hi Mino,
Fair point. By the way, sometimes people miss this, but you can skip directly to a page in the gallery by hovering over where it says page 1 of 179.
