Printer setup question

I just started using Smart Photo. I have started editing photos and am getting to know it but have a printer problem. I use a HP6510 Photosmart and am online. The printer works perfectly from computer and hpeprint. I want to print 4x6 photo paper and have Smart Photo set correctly. The printer will not print on 4x6 photo but does print 4x6 on regular paper. Papers are correct in tray. I can only think that there is a communication problem between Smart Photo and the HP6510 - if it is not correctable I will not be able to use Smart Photo. I will wait 1 day , 12:00 pm 3/6/14 then I delete and cancel the purchase on my credit card! J. Hoelz, jvhoelz@comcast.net

Smart Photo Editor just uses standard windows or mac facilities for printing and knows nothing about the paper type. All it does is send a picture to be printed and the operating system does the rest.
