copying selections to use repeatedly in a picture
Hi. I don't know if this feature exists but I can't find it. When you're doing composits and you spent an age making one clean and sharp, is it possible to copy that result so it can be used repeatedly in the same picture?
Re: copying selections to use repeatedly in a picture
Yes, but it does involve manually editing the composite, which is a little more advanced than the simple composite tool. I guess you're talking about underlays, because obviously overlays would need a new, different, selection on each picture you overlayed.
To choose a different background after masking out an area:
Right click on the tab at the top, where it says "Composite" and choose "Manual Edit"
You'll see a "Load Image" node which is where the current background is being loaded.
Click on Add Image and choose a new background.
Now connect the new "Load Image" node to the "Place And Merge" to replace the previous "Load Image"
Let me know if you need any more help
