Re: Feature requests
11. The ability to switch the image even if a selection has been made.
If you have applied effects to an image, one or more of which have masks applied, it is impossible to switch the image to try the effects on another image. The error message is:
This is very inconvenient and makes it very difficult to try out chains of effects with different images. The selected area can be edited at any time, so it doesn't make sense to say you can't switch the image because you've made a selection.
Even effects applied with the help of the new series of Creative masking templates seem to fall under this restriction, so I have to recreate the same shape mask every time I want to use the shape on another image.

Re: Feature requests
If you want to quickly re-use the same effect on different pictures, and it uses selections, then just save it as an effect just for you. When you apply it from the favorites menu, it would prompt you to make the selection. Merge all your effects into one if needed. As for the creative masking templates, that's the one situation where a mask doesn't 'match' the image, and I've suggested a different approach for Andrew B that would get round this and mean you don't need to reselect each time.

Re: Feature requests
Thanks for the suggestion, Tony. I will try the workflow you suggest to see if it works the way I want it to. I do hesitate to create new local effects because I'm afraid of ending up with too many that I can't delete (see request #9)
Re: Feature requests
Try thinking of it this way: it doesn't matter how many local effects you have, what matters is what's in your favourites list, which are the ones you can get at easily, and can manage easily. Effects are very small, so they don't take up much disk space (unless they use a texture), so having them around just in case, isn't such a bad thing.

Re: Feature requests
Continuing this list of my feature requests. Of course, I may request a functionality that already exists, but I just haven't found it yet
12. Ability to arrange the order of my favorites in my Favorites list.
Now that I have many favorites in my favorites list, it is hard to find the one I want, and I haven't been able to figure out how to arrange the order they appear in. The ones I use the most are often somewhere near the bottom of the list and I have to scroll to find them. Since the list is not in alphabetical order, it is even more difficult. When I go into the Favorite Effects Manager I can re-arrange the order the effects are in by dragging them into place. But when I exit the Favorite Effects Manager I find that the changes are not reflected under Favorites Recent Shortlists.
13. Select Area: Ability to edit a selected area without having to apply an effect first. Once I opt to "Confirm selection and browse effects", I can't find a way to edit the selection without first applying an effect. If this is possible, I would be glad to learn how to do it.
