lightroom plug-in

There appear to be a problem with my SPE as a Lightroom plug in. I've followed the how-to instructions to a T. However, SPE doesn't show in my Lightroom list of plug ins. And when I try to upload a lightroom edited image to SPE, the edited image is not uploaded, rather the original unedited image. Please help.
