Image/Area treatment
In addition to being able to choose between different selections, it would be helpful to have the full no-selections image as an additional choice. Then why not have the same filters for both so the separate Area Treatment button could be eliminated.
Sharpen and blur (gradient blur?) would be very helpful filter additions. With these changes, the common routine of selecting and sharpening a person, then following by blurring and darkening the background would be very easy. Currently several different effects are needed for this operation. The single Treatment choice then would take care of all the simple functions, leaving Effects for the more esoteric operations.
The gallery choices in Area treatment are confusing because there are no names. It would be easier if this was limited to just a few more detailed Favorite Effects. The program always crashes when Next is pressed on the last page (page 45). It sometimes crashes around page 8.

Re: Image/Area treatment
Hi OldVic,
Thanks for your feedback. We originally had a whole image treatment as an additional option, but we found it caused a lot of confusion, so we're trying to figure out how to implement it so it doesn't. Good point about the sharpening and bluring in the area treatment, as you guessed, the point of it is to make common stuff quick, and the gallery more for artistic exploration, so the better we can do that the better. We have thought long and hard about combining area and image treatment together. Quite a lot of the sliders in image treatment (shadows, higlights, all the color specific ones) are about selecting part of the image, which would be duplicated if moved to the area treatment panel. There's also the issue of there being an overwhelming number of options if all the sliders in image treatment were given for each selection in area treatment. But we are considering these issues.
Regarding names for the gallery in area treatment, in order to avoid clutter, what about having the name pop up when you hover over it?
I'll look into the crash.
