Crash when applying effect while following tutorial

Just started playing with the app. I reached the point in the tutorial where I was asked to "Apply" a b/w effect. I did that from a "full-screen" effect window, at which point the app crashed.
Can't consistently reproduce.
32-bit Win 7.
