Re Smart photo editor beta program:
I was tweaking an effect with the fade slider and the program crashed....
does this program has an autosave function or any possibility to take a "snapshot" of the situation before finalising the end result?
It only recovered or autosaved the original image, not the masked image....

The autosave saves roughly once a minute, so you can loose a few seconds of work. You can also save a 'session' file whenever you want, which you can come back to later.
