Have you somehow reverted to a trial version?

If not, what exactly happens when you try and save?

Sometimes it takes a little while to process an image for saving if you are using an effect with certain operations in it. Try waiting for a bit.

Have you made any changes, re-installed or updated the program?

Are you using the program as a stand-alone or as a plug-in?

Are you unable to save any image or only one particular image you worked on?

Do you have permission (on your computer) to save a file to the folder you have chosen? (Don't laugh, some people have this problem.)

Without more information your question is like asking "Why can't I drive my car?".
