crashes on save

can you tell me the proper way to save an image? I guess I am doing something wrong. whenever I save the image it never makes it. the program crashes on save. Am I doing something wrong? do I need to uninstall and reinstall? really need some help

The most common problem when saving is if you're using the 32 bit version with large images and complex effects. If you can, use the 64 bit version. You can download it using the license manager:

If you're on a 32 bit machine, then you may need to limit the size of the image you save. If neither of these two things fixes it, I recommend you open a support ticket here:

Hi, Can anyone help me, please? I am always having the same problem my images when coming to saving & you have done so much work to a single image it keeps on crashes. it takes such a long time to get back out of the programme, to try to restart. When I re-start only 4 out of 10 times it will only remember what you have done but only, upto 2 or 3 points of work done on your image. The other 6 times nothing comes back, so I have to restart the work on the image all over again, & again, & again, & again time after time. What is going on, I've paid for this editing software programme & it doesn't work all the time, & when you only have a short amount of time to do any editing on photos, I should not have to keep repeating the same work on 1 photo. I used to love this software because it was easier to understand & use, now not so much. Please, can any1 help with this.? I have a computer on 64 bit & paid for a 64-bit version of smart photo editor programme. I can't keep rebooting my computer after everytime I can't complete an edit on a photo. Can this please , please be fixed?

Firstly, make sure you're on the most up to date version. We did recently release a fix that affected some macbook pro laptops. If that doesn't fix it, please open a support ticket:
