I have decided to concentrate, for the time being, on the Tone Adjustments panel with the Advanced Sliders rather than on the effects. I particularly like the Clarity slider and the fact that at the top end it pushes the changed image towards what I would call hyper-real (it goes further than the equivalent slider in Lightroom which I like). Also the Advanced sliders do interesting things with individual colours which I like. More later ....
