Can you please advise when you will have support for the RAW files from the Canon 5D Mk IV

A related question that has always had me wondering. SPE will open supported RAW files (e.g. my Pentax PEF files) and enable editing and subsequent saving as jpeg. But is SPE actually a RAW editor or simply converting the RAW file to jpeg so that you end up editing a standard jpeg? I suspect it's the latter but could someone confirm?

Dear Richard and Alan,

SPE does not convert RAW files into JPGs on loading. It keeps them in the native 16 bit format so all manipulations can be done in 16 bits. Although by default it does do an 8 bit preview in the software but recomputes all the changes in 16 bits on saving, but this can be switched off in the settings dialog.
