Beta?
Is it really right to call this version Beta? I thought that the feature list was meant to be complete for Beta although my idea is very much out of date. I thought that I'd be testing software that was ready for commercial release when I asked to be included in beta testing. It seems to me that things are a long way off that. I know this sounds harsh but someone has to be devil's advocate.
Re: Beta?
Sorry if you feel you've been mislead. Not all beta software is always locked down. The idea behind getting it out to users before the features are locked down was to get feedback from them in order to make sure the right features get locked down.
Specifically, when you say it's a long way from commercial release, what features would you say were definitely required before it was ready?
