Loading Nikon D7000 Raw Photos (.NEF)
Hi,
I have found that when I try to load a Nikon NEF photo and select open, the icons for the photos are blank, not pictures as with jpgs etc. If I do load the NEF it is OK and appears in the edit screen. Any ideas please? I would like to be able to see which photo I am selecting.
Thanks
Gerry

Hi Gary,
By default Nef files are not shown as icons in any file browser because they are a propriatory Nikon file type. You can download a 'codec' from Nikon's website here: http://www.nikonimglib.com/nefcodec/ and you should be able to see Nef files in SPE and any other file browser too. Let me know if that doesn't work.
