This issue occurs incredibly rarely on pre-1.6.2 builds, as we have fixed the problem in the latest version of Smart Photo Editor. If you follow the steps below, this will get you using SPE 1.6.2 which has a new, streamlined update process that will fix this issue.
1. Open Smart Photo Editor and go to Help> Check for Updates.
2. You will be taken to a page where you can download the latest installer.
3. Download the installer, close any existing instances of SPE and run the installer.
4. Complete the installation as normal and you should then be using SPE 1.6.2.
Your update gallery should now function without any further issue. Please let us know if you suffer any further issues.
