Transparent Watermark

Postby christykayep » Thu Oct 11, 2012 4:42 pm

How do I place a transparent watermark on my images? I overlay a .png file and it still shows up with the white background. How do I eliminate that?

Hi Christykayep,

We don't currently support alpha channels in png files (although we could add it if there was demand). However, if your logo is on a white background you could try any of these Blend Modes, which makes white become transparent:

Multiply
Color burn
Divide
Darken

Alternativly you could use the brush to remove the white background.

Are there other people interested in alpha channel support for pngs?

So the color burn takes away the white but then the color is too light in my logo to see it. Is there a way I can darken the color? Or brighten it up so it can be seen better?

I really need a transparent watermark... I love this software, however, I'm having to import photos to Lightroom 4 just to put the watermark on them. I would really like to NOT HAVE TO DO THAT! Please add the TRANSPARENT WATERMARK to your software :)

I haven't purchased the soft wear as of yet, but the transparent watermark would be great!!
