At last I have found a type of effect that lets me see the possibilites in this software.
Some time ago I had to take a photo of a newly finished Village Hall for a brochure that was required for the opening ceremony. It was required urgently and the weather conditions were bad. So, I ended up with a good image of the building but I was asked to change the sky! Now technically I could have done the change with Photoshop but I couldn't find a sky that fitted the scene in my own library. I can see that SPE could help here.
I was also asked to put grass up to the walls of the building as it was then in the middle of a building site.
I will dig out that image and see what I can achieve with SPE.
