Hi,
Some effects (mainly the ones about de-noising, but also long chains of effects) can take a long time to render. To make sure it's going as fast as possible, download the latest version of the 64 bit build if your machine supports that. Having lots of memory in your machine if you are using lots of effects and you've got the 64 bit build wont hurt! Try it with something simple, and it should be quick.
