Accss Denied
When I confirm one of the effects I often get the following:
Warning Internal program error
.\TagTable.ccpt.:301:ZWin32 error exception:error 0x00000005 with file C:\user\.....
I am using window 7 64 bit
did I download wrong version or ?

Try deleting C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\PhotoEditor\global, to see if that helps. Let me know if it doesn't and we can go from there.

Tony - it did absolute not help! the result was that I could load the software, but there was no "effetcts available"
how can I check that the latest version is updated? I have run it, but I cannot see the version actually used.

I have just tried various alternatives and when clicking 'confirm' the message mentioned already still appears, and then I click OK between 5-8 times, then it appears to accept

Hi Youngman,
It's possible you don't have the latest version installed. Try going to Help>Check for updates. For future reference, the version number is displayed in the About box found in the help menu.
It's also possible that your local effects have become corrupted. Try renaming C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\PhotoEditor\user to see if that fixes the problem.
If that doesn't fix it, could you tell me the entire of the error message? i.e. did you replace some of it with '...'?

loving SPE except for the last 2 days I too have had an error message as it tells me that it wants to update my photo effects . tells me at end of error message access denied- everything else seems to work fine.

Hi oldducker,
We've had a few users in the past have problems when an anti-virus software has stopped SPE being able to download a new version of the gallery. One thing you could try is temporarily disabling your antivirus while the gallery is being updated.

Hi,
It's interesting that it's the same file that's being locked every time, maybe something has made that file read only. One thing you could try is deleting the global+ directory and then running the software again.
