PHOTOGRAPHIC ALBUM TO VIEW

Postby andrewb2012 » Sun Aug 30, 2015 12:14 am

Hi Folks,

Angus has posted quite a few lovely photographs showing Scottish landscapes and scenic views. Like him, I've thousands of photographs of my beloved country. Just came back from a weeks holiday on the Cowal Peninsula - we rented a beautiful little snug called the 'Hideaway' which is attached to the main Kilbride Farm House which is about 2-3 miles from Tighnabruaich. The photographs include images from Tarbet Loch Fyne, Dunoon, & Rothesey. but most of the scenic views were taken within a few miles of Tighnabruaich itself. The paddle steamer shown is the famous Waverley! The large beach panoramas were taken at Kilbride Bay or Ostel Bay (both names are used) and the mountains in the background are on Arran in the Firth of Clyde. The area is absolutely stunning and it is my delight to share.

Processing mainly done in Smart Photo Editor. All the textures and effects used were my own contributions to the SPE Gallery - I did not use other authors' effects in this instance. Quite a few of the effects were customised using the manual editing facility.

The images shown were randomly selected from around 1750 photographs taken the week 15-22 August 2015.

Hi Andrew,

Congratulations!! A really great album of well known (to me) and beautifully photographed pictures.

Living in South Cowal I'm very familiar with most of the views. Our shoes must have over-trodden each others footprints many times.

On pages 86-87 you can see Toward lighthouse in the top left hand corner, that's only 1Km from where I live.

I see the SS Waverley at least twice a day during the season.

Really nice work,
Regards,
Angus
