Image format

Hello,

I'm new to this awesome program----first day! I've tried to "open" a Photoshop image and it won't open; also tried to open a NEF image. I thought this software supported both of these formats. I need to be "enlightened"; thank you all!

Unfortunately, both of those file formats are proprietary, which means the manufacturers try and make it as difficult as possible for other people to read them. However, if you save either of them as a 16bit tiff file from photoshop, you will be able to load it into SPE without any loss of information.

You can also convert your NEF files to DNG and use that RAW format
