Program shuts down before I can load an image

I open the program, then click on Load my Image and then it says Photo Editor has stopped working and it closes the program,,. .Sometimes I get lucky and it will run but as of late, nothing.

I think I know what this is about. Other software can cause the open image dialog to crash. Take a look at this page for more details about the most common cause. (It covers our other product PortraitPro, but what it talks about affects many other pieces of software including Smart Photo Editor).

Let me know if that's not it, as other software can also cause a crash here, perhaps something else you've recently installed.
