Hello Albertus,

Use the select area tool to select the sky. Then when you confirm the selection and browse effects you will find backgrounds suitable for skies. Once you define a selection like that, the selection remains available to apply further effects to. When you hover with the mouse cursor over the Effects Gallery icon at the upper right of the screen, the flyout window will list all the areas you have defined and you can select any one of them as the area you want to apply an effect to.
