How to shrink a photo into a merge photo.

How do you merge 2 photos into 1 & to sink 1 photo to fit into 1? Say you have a background landscape you also have a photo of people & you want to photos to look real & as throw the people were in your landscape photo so that they are the right size??

Have you tried the 'Composite' feature (button on the right)? Load your landscape, then create Composite. You will be prompted to add an overlay or underlay. Add overlay and select the picture with people in it. You can then resize the overlay as required and save as a single image.

You mentioned "resize" as though it's easy. So cropping always makes the subject larger, how do we reduce the size of an image?

Richard was talking about resizing the people you're merging into a photo. If you click on the "Move, Rotate and Scale" you can place the people at the right size in your scene by dragging them and the resize handles.

If you want to have a smaller image on your disk, you can change the size you save at after choosing "Save As Jpg/Tiff/Png..".
