PNG Overlays
It would be really great to be able to use .Png files over files. Is there a possibility this feature might be in future versions?
Re: PNG Overlays
Hi
It's not officially supported. However there is a way you can do it via the effect editor:
Apply an overlay in the composite mode and choose a png (that's always worked, but I guess you want the alpha channel too)
Position the overlay as you would normally
Right click on the Composite tab at the top and choose Manual Edit
Double click on the "Load image" node
Enter a name for the "Alpha Name" to give your alpha channel a name
Double click on the "Place And Merge" node
Change the Area from layer 1 to the alpha channel name you picked before and you'll end up with the correct alpha channel.
