Effects Gallery, options appear below scroll bar

I'm using a Macbook PRo. The interface, in the pop-up when hoovering over "effects gallery" the 'Show Gallery For' options are covered by the scroll bar when there are more than fits in the screen. Thus, as a user, you can't select the right area/selection to apply the effect to.
