AREA Treatment
Quite a lot of the time when I have carefully painstaking removed the background from my photo and then click the gallery for a new background the program just crashes and I have to start again !
Re: AREA Treatment
Are you on the latest version of the software? Go to Help>Check for Updates to be sure. Also make sure you're using the 64bit version if you can.
Re: AREA Treatment
Hi yes . I am using the up to date version and 64 bit..and have removed and re-installed the program as instructed by Erika.... and it still crashes when using the Area treatment.....I erase the bakground from an image ...then click the gallery ..then that is when it happens but not every time
Re: AREA Treatment
If you're having trouble like that, I suggest you open a support ticket so our support team can help.
Re: AREA Treatment

Re: AREA Treatment
I like your user name, lemonade!
I wonder what your computer specs are and whether you have the same crashing problem with all images. Have you tried to test it on different images of different sizes and resolutions? For testing purposes you needn't even select a real area of the photo, just click anywhere with the selection brush.

Re: AREA Treatment
If the software crashes when you press the Gallery button after selecting an area, it's possible your database is corrupt. You could try deleting this folder: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\PhotoEditor\global. When you go back into SPE it will download a fresh copy of the gallery.
Kind regards

Re: AREA Treatment
Where it says YOUR USER NAME, replace it with the user name you are logged in as. Also sometimes AppData is hidden, but if you type it into windows explorer in the address bar it should work.
