Can anyone tell me why, when I upload a picture it shows up with a pink cast over the entire picture?

Do you mean upload to this forum or open in SPE?

Hello Laruss,

As you can see by Richard's reply, your question needs some clarification before readers here can understand your problem. If you use the search functionality on this forum to search for "pink" you will find another thread about a pink cast on a raw file when opening it. Is that your problem?

Yes. When I upload a raw file to SPE, it appears pink. I'll search the pink thread. thank you.

If it is a RAW file as per previous response then I assume SPE only supports a limited set of RAW formats. Is it possible you are trying to open an unsupported RAW format?

Yes, if you could tell us more about the file you're trying to open and what the error message is, then it will be easier for us to help.

Kind regards

I just encountered this too. My own .cr2 RAW files from my Canon T6i will open but my friend's .cr2 RAW files from her Canon 5D MkIV have a pink overlay. I opened her files in my RAW editor and no issues. Support ticket already submitted.

There is another thread about the pink tint problem with some .cr2 files "RAW .cr2 with pink tint" http://photoeditor.anthropics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4182
The problem is that not all .cr2 files are the same, and the best solution is to use the free Adobe DNG converter tool https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html before using Smart Photo Editor.
