Corel AfterShot Pro and PSP X4 plugin compatibility

Postby MusicLaw » Fri Jan 20, 2012 10:50 pm

Now that Corel has recently acquired Bibble Labs, what had been previously sold as Bibble Pro 5 RAW Conversion Technology, has now been improved and comprises the core of Corel's just introduced AfterShot Pro RAW Converter product. This joins Corel's PaintShop Pro X4 Ultimate to bring Corel into a far more adept position to offer feature rich photo editing suite of products.

It would be terrific if Anthropics could work out an arrangement with Corel for Portrait Professional and Smart Editor to be accessible directly as plugins for Corel's image editing products.

Ideally, directly at the RAW image stage as opposed to the TIFF or JPG level.

I am not sure that Corel has to do anything. I beta tested Corel After Shot Pro, Paintshop 4x, and Video Studio Pro 5 and many Photoshop plugins just ran on Paintshop Pro 5

In other words if anthropics makes the plugin properly it should just work in Corel's PaintShop Pro
