Livorno, Italy - Referred to as 'Little Venice'.
Livorno - the Mediterranean's own miniature Venice, complete with a picturesque port was established by the Medici Family as a city in 1606. Livorno developed into a haven of welcome for all those persecuted for their race, religion, or politics and enriched itself with the ingenuity and traditions of the most varied foreign countries. The tranquil waters reflect bridges, canals, and antique buildings, creating the impression of a miniature Venice on the Mediterranean.
These images have been processed jointly in Smart Photo Editor (SPE) and Corel PaintShop Pro 2023 using Redfield's Quad Pencil plugin with my own preset. The finishing touch is a private, personal effect and is not available on SPE (this is unusual as I normally make all my effects available - but the effect requires pe-work outside of SPE to work - sorry!
I'm quite partial to these results - each original photograph has been simplified and the colours saturated and subtle ink type outlines applied, before finishing. Hope you like.
