Saving at half the size reduces the number of pixels in your image by a half horizontally and vertically. This will loose some detail in your photo, but on the other hand your photo is now much smaller in the picture because of the frame, so it might not be noticable. It's not ideal, so I'm currently working on improving the memory performance.

Mine still keeps crashing every time I try and add an effect Its taking me ages now just to edit a couple of clients photos. I have reinstalled from scratch 3 times I have the latest version and I have opened about 3 support tickets and done what I was advised too! Anyone else having problems still ? or has anyone found a way around this. I am really getting quite desperate now.
