Efect Editor

I like that you give us this much power and still make it able to be a one click editor.

First of I like the tabbed sorting not sure if this is alreadt available so far but can we set up a tab where we can put our favorites in?

Need to implement better moving around in the editor scroll bars are too thin. Better would be a click on anything other then a module and have the whole editor pan with the mouse up down and left right.

Speed is always important to pro users. if it takes too long they will go to a faster way. perhaps this will not mean as mucg to me later as it does now but in editor mode a storage of some sort for unfinished as well as pre grouped parts would be useful.

How do we hide the editor when not needed. Seems like once opened it stays open reducing the preview of the work still in progress.

I would like to add a multiple image tool that would allow us to select in the effect gallery mode from a group of say textures or vignettes to help give effect some diversity.

This also I am not sure as how to implement but think all of us would want a module that could be at front or end of chain that would allow us to lock in preset variations of same effect that when a user calls it up then in gallery mode they can switch through them to any of the preset options. Example of a use for this would be an effect that has preset of contrast and brightness in perhaps 4 options set by builder or perhaps option to change from normal to multiply again giving the said effect more diversity.

Scale tool adjustment what does it mean and why not use percentages in it's place?

Still learning these tools so I expect to be back with more but this is a good start for now

Again lots of interesting ideas, some of which are on our roadmap already. Again a few specific comments:

To hide the editor, hover over the right hand edge of it to find the drag handle (it will turn white when you find it), then drag it to the left. To get it back, drag the handle all the way back to the right.

I'm not sure if this addresses any of your points or not, but once you have applied an effect you can right click on it's tab, then choose Manual edit to see the whole effect's network. You can then change options that weren't available in the controls for the effect (like blending mode if it has one).

The scale node is mainly there so it can be automatically be put in when loading an overlay image. It's job is to make sure that when the effect is published and applied to a different sized image, the overlayed image gets scaled correctly to the different sized image. The scale node is stored internally as percentages, but of the second input in order to achieve this. It's rare I use it for anything other than overlayed images.

I did know that. I was just thinking that in the gallery a few quick presets (from builder perspective) would bring more diversity to the effect for the less techy users. As well as a way to have a few precision settings saved. for example lets say I made a colorizing effect and wanted it to have three primary quicksets for red green and blue.

For now if I want to save a preset for an effect I could just publish it locally or community and add to name a setting number like (001) then save another etc. This might crowd up the gallerey though

Yeah good points. Don't worry about crowding the gallery though. The whole aim behind the software is how to make an increasingly large number of different effects easily searchable.
